VDO not working

hi guys,,,need some advice.....while away last weekend on bike,,it was absolutely piddling down and i noticed my display has stopped working...
its stuck showing only half a tank of fuel,,4 bars for temp,,,gear indicator does nothing,just stuck on 0 and clock is stuck at the time it packed up.....tried to remove it but for the life of me cant figure out how...seems like you gotta strip the whole dash..... it seems like there is power still there as it all lights up,, its just not doing anything..froze......
where would you guys start

The RID (Rider Information Display) is basically a semiconductor chip. The clock is powered permanently via fuse 3. The rest of the display gets its power via the motronic relay.

It sounds like your display is knackered. You can try removing the fuse and see if the display resets, but I doubt it.

If you lift the tank, you will find an 8 way Grey connector block on the headstock. This is the RID connector. Disconnecting it and cleaning it, may help, but again I doubt it.

The RID unit has a very small drain hole on the back at the bottom. It gets blocked, water builds up and corrodes the PCB.

I'm not saying this is your problem but i do see it a lot.
