Voge DS900X

Come on then, lets hear what it's like! I'm definitely interested to hear from somebody that's actually got one.

Looks great.

Fitted a few quality bits from Uncle Wang.

Engine protection , but mainly to black it out a bit

A few more bits to fit tomorrow. Then I’ll strip bike/remove tank next week if I’m feeling better and fit the sat nav bar and Aioocci C6 Pro CarPlay unit.

I’ve only ridden 15 miles so can’t tell you much about it .

Initial thoughts-it’s very comfy, screen is perfect on low as can just see over top. Might use OE smoke screen for hot weather.
Bar risers make the bars perfect for me as raise a bit and forward a tad.
Interesting that they were packaged as for a BMW F850GS.

The TFT is very clear. Easy controls for everthing including heated seats and grips , which both work very well. Level 3 was too hot !
It sounds ace on OE can. No need for an after market jobby.

Goes like stink in Sport mode but with very minor hunting at very low revs. Better in Road mode.
Not an issue but can update via android phone to newer ECU updates.

It shipped with 4.3 and 4.4 is available online. French dealers are now installing 4.5.

She handles nice but took it very steady as feeling crap with shingles and roads were slippy due thick fog.

Brakes work as you’d expect from Brembo.

The lights are fucking brilliant . Got flashed a few times with dip and spots on.

IMG_3125.jpegIMG_3127.jpeg

Quickshifter very smooth on upshifts but not so smooth on downshifts.
Might improve with more miles.

Other gripes ? The indicator switch could be more positive in its action.

Three box ally luggage hasn’t arrived yet .

Overall-I’m more impressed with it than I thought I would .Its fucking ace.
When I picked it up, the mechanic who PDI’d it was gobsmacked how good it was as it’s the first one they’ve seen, as they aren’t really a Voge dealer but sourced it for me as they deal with MotoGB in other brands. The dealer is so impressed that she’s probably going to get a demo bike and run with Voge properly as she can see it being a big seller.

Anybody thinking it’s chinky shite needs to try one.
Dunno about long term quality but I can’t fault the build and fit and finish.

I mean-it uses Loncin engine same as F850GS, same wheels , Brembo brakes, Showa fully adjustable suspension, Bosch electronics.

They ain’t fucking around !

Is it a BMW……🫣

No, it’s not, despite using the same components from the waist down .

My brother bought this last week

IMG_2096.jpeg

I think it looks great.

Cost him £10750.

Comes with Akra as standard and heated grips. That’s it ……..

My Voge basically uses the same Loncin engine but is rated at 95bhp to make it A2 complaint rather than 105bhp in the GS.
Same frame,tubeless wheels, suspension,brakes,electronics.

His came with just heated grips.

Mine came with

Heated grips
Heated seats (both)
Cruise
TPMS
Blind spot detection.
Emergency braking warning -my hazards flash if a car gets too close up my arse
Forward facing camera activated by button on bar and factory’s on SD card under seat
Mainstand
Aluminium panniers AND top box.

As I said above , he paid £10750 for basic bike with heated grips and nothing else.

I paid £7850 for it fully loaded.

It ain’t a BMW. But I reckon it’s 90% the BMW for 50% of the price.

(Fully spec a F900GS up with all you can and it’s £15500 ! And that’s still without a heated seat etc)

All prices are VAT-free.

The Voge is something like £ 9150 OTR in UK.

It’s a bit of a risk taking a punt but I think it’s a bloody bargain and can’t see any real issues.

People elsewhere here are losing £8k in 9 months wanting to trade 1300GS for GSA.

I’m pretty sure my Voge will be worth more than £0 in 9 months !

I knew really, I was just being a twat/tacking the piss out of BMW.

As you say, you’ll not lose the total amount in 9 months.
Even if it lasts 4 years and you put it in a skip it’s still a bargain….and I’m sure that it won’t ride 50% worse than the BM either.

Get better, enjoy, let us know what you think of it…as if you wouldn’t 😂

As an aside, do you ever pilot the BA flight from Gatwick to Costa Rica??
We’re booked for mid January and I wondered if that was a route you flew?

Ta.
I used to do the LGW routes on 777 but moved to 787 in 2016 so only out of LHR.

Argh, ghastly GB racing copies, made from watering can material no doubt.

Damn them chinks have no shame.

Been fiddling with the bike all day.
Fitted louder horn, then sat nav bracket, which was a bastard, but got it done.
Then decided to attempt the Aoocci C6 Pro which meant stripping the bike and taking tank off.

IMG_3156.jpegIMG_3157.jpeg

The panels aren’t the easiest to take on and off but took my time and got it done.
Used a fuse piggy back thing to connect to ignition feed

IMG_3153.jpeg

IMG_3154.jpeg

When I fitted Chigee CarPlay unit to Himmy it had a positive and negative feed to battery and an acc wire for ignition feed but the Aoocci only has negative terminal to battery and then positive feed to ignition source .

I used the lighting fuse, via piggy backing as above.

Made schoolboy error and didn’t realise I needed second fuse as well as the fuse I’d piggy backed but Stevie4scoops helped as did local autoelec guy where I bought the connector.

Electrics not my strong point but learning as I go and used my circuit tester to make sure the lighting circuit was linked to the ignition.

Took pretty much all day but got it done .

Never had cameras fitted to a bike but now have front and rear as came with Aoocci.
Infact I have two front cameras as the Voge as an inbuilt one .

Oh well.

And of course at the end of the day I had 4 screws left even though I was very careful to note where they all came from.
Oh well, it’s all rock solid and I can’t see any blank holes ! 😜

Just got to fit some tank protection tomorrow and upgrade the software from 4.3 to 4.4 when I can borrow an android phone .

Farkling complete , for now .

Finished off with some quality fake tank protection pads 😜

IMG_3169.jpegIMG_3168.jpegIMG_3171.jpegIMG_3170.jpeg

That’s it . Not spending any more on it . Bloody thing has now cost me £8150 all in 😜

That's a lot of bike for the money. Like most new bikes it looks bland though, it could be any make from a distance. That tall screen is really fugly
