Voge DS900X

Currently riding an F900 XR, which I rate as the motor and handling are great, but I fancy something newer. Paid a visit to my local Voge dealer (QB Motorcycles, Brierly Hill) yesterday to have a look at one and was bowled over. This is not a cheap Chingling knock off - this is a serious bike and fully loaded.
The finish is good with some really nice touches - stitching on the saddle, heated grips and seat, built in dash cam and rear facing radar which gives a flash of hazard and brake lights to warn 'Tail gaters' to back off. No ASC or cornering ABS and the dash is LED not TFT (I believe) but I can live with that. Oh and don't forget the aluminium panniers and top box. I've not worked it out fully but a BMW F900GSA with these specs would be north of £16k I recon. This will cost you £9,199 OTR.
Bit of reluctance from the dealer to Part Exchange as 'BMW's are a bit niche' as he put it. Just waiting to see what sort of deal they can swing. (BMW offered me £4k for my 4 year old bike with 23K miles on against another F900XR)
Look out BMW you're on notice!
My next bike will very likely be CS

I'm presuming the XR was c £10k...goes to show the bullshit attached to 'depreciation' or rather how well BMWs hold their value (not).
I paid £10.5k for the XR in March 2022 so will have lost £6.5k in 2.5 years. I make that a depreciation of 62% over 2.5 years or 25% a year. So much for a Premium brand retaining its value. Think about that when you pay in excess of £20k for a 1300 gs!
These Asian brands can recognise this and will step in to exploit it whether its a Voge, BSA or Royal Enfield.

EICMA last year. Probably 50% (if not 60%) were Chinky stands, you know the small ones, 3x3m, showcasing all sorts of stuff for the biking industry.
Big brands all had young and attractive women sitting on or standing besides their bikes. CF MOTO, Kove …. Not a single young lady to be seen, but look at them bikes getting traction without the actual need to be “sold” by a model next to them.
Just saying.

Which, like all the ones before will last about ten minutes…(no offence)

PS is the CS a bastard variant of a Voge DS and a CF Moto?

Persuaded my local dealer to speak to their MotoGB rep , as they stock Benelli locally .
He’s added them on to the Voge system so they can view prices and order bikes etc .
Looks like servicing won’t be an issue and service lights are reset within the bike and not via plug in diagnostics .
I also found TWO Voge dealers within 40 minutes of my place in Brittany .
So all looks pretty easy . Time to embrace this chinky shite 😜
MotoGB will only accept an order from a dealer if it’s got a name and deposit attached as they’ve been inundated apparently.

So I’ve ordered one . Fuck knows when it’ll be here .
Might be as soon as next month or not till January . Time will tell .
Fastest colour and fully loaded for £7850 OTR 😀

Certainly looks like a lot of bike for the money. Look forward to getting some first hand feedback from you as and when it arrives. Enjoy👍

Looks well put together in those piccies

how easy is it to get to the battery? Looks like a really good value for money offering with a shed of tech and innovation

I had a good poke around the one I saw last week and it looked very well built .
And fitted with Brembo brakes, KYB suspension, Bosch electronics, Pirelli tyres etc .

Are BMW, KTM et al writing their own death warrants?

Getting the Chinese to make their engines (and other components) on the cheap, while allowing them to sell complete bikes with those engines at considerably less money than their own, seems like corporate suicide to me.

Just take the dashcam and fitting, panniers and racks, top box and rest, fog lights, heated grips and hand guards and power outlets you'd add to any bike you bought that didn't already have these and that's already close to £1200. All they need now is to offer a 6 year warranty...
