Voge DS900X

Just take the dashcam and fitting, panniers and racks, top box and rest, fog lights, heated grips and hand guards and power outlets you'd add to any bike you bought that didn't already have these and that's already close to £1200. All they need now is to offer a 6 year warranty...
CFMoto 450MT in the UK comes with a 4 year warranty! on a bike that just a tad under £5700quid on the road. Time for the existing manufacturers to wake up.

The CF Moto warranty I had on one of their ATV's wasn't worth the paper it was printed on.

It takes time to build up a parts network.

All I got was- "Sorry, production at full capacity with new vehicles, 12 month wait for parts!"

Only time will tell.

I’m hoping the Voge will be reliable .
Loncin make two million engines a year . Bosch electronics aren’t prone to failure . I’m struggling to see a downside

It’s down to build quality a lot of the time.

I’ve heard reports of scrappy welding on these new bikes. The ATV I had was welded so badly there were bits of mig wire sticking out to stab your hands when cleaning.

The bike was a copy of other manufacturers products. They’d made a reproduction of the rear drive case but it wasn’t made the same. The aluminium case was porous. It broke repeatedly. You could see the casting was like an aero choc bar, full of bubbles inside.

Might be different now. But that’s what they are famous for. Ripping off others design and making the product cheaper.

They aren’t paying any R&D or development costs. They probably make far more profit than BMW per bike.

"... CF MOTO, Kove …. Not a single young lady to be seen..."

@EVskij

Yes, but just wait until they DO stack their stands with slinky Asian ladies, all dressed-up to stimulate a combination of western punters' fantasies..

("Oh, Mister EVskij... You so BIG... You so S-T-R-O-N-G")

What's in a brand anymore, anyway?

There is a German-sounding brand of premium noise-cancelling headphones that a certain European airline ordered so as to make their Premium Cabin passengers feel 'right at home', with 'German technology' ...

"Zer Gut, nein?"

Peering beneath the sheets using publicly-available Web search, it transpires that the brand is actually owned by Samsung of S. Korea.

Then, with industry knowledge I can take you to to see the owner of the Shenzen factory in P. R. C., where the brand is actually manufactured.

"Mein Got!"

( Note to @EVskij.... How did this ever come to happen? "Oh, Herr Fritz, You so BIG.. You so S-T-R-O-N-G"!!)

"Bajaj Auto is the world's third-largest manufacturer of motorcycles and the second-largest in India.[3] It is the world's largest three-wheeler manufacturer.[4] In December 2020, Bajaj Auto crossed a market capitalisation of ₹1 trillion (US$12 billion), making it the world's most valuable two-wheeler company."

I’ve read about problems with ATVs and back up. So what’s going to be different with the bikes? JJH

Another factor that some might want to consider is do you really want China to dominate the automotive industry in the same way that it now dominates manufacture of small goods? The UK has already lost most of its manufacturing base ans along with it good jobs replaced by low wage service industry jobs. China as a state isn't entirely friendly from my point of view laying claim to the entire South China sea to within a few miles of other nations such as Malaysia and Indonesia and it is certainly helping Russia via the back door. I suspect their business model re bikes/cars is the same as that of the east European hairdressers who move into the High Street offering cheap haircuts and then once the local traditional hairdresser has gone out of business they raise their prices. I don't see a way that European manufacturers can compete with Chinese electric cars where startup brands that we didn't know here a year or two ago can offer good quality products developed in the home market and now sold here once they are reliable. So yes the bikes do represent good value but maybe spell the end of the European and Japanese manufacturers with a few unpleasant indirect political consequences too. Apologies that this post is nothing to do with the bikes and perhaps should be in the politics section but there you go.

PS I was parked next to a brand new Chinese 650 adventure bike the other day (can't remember the brand) and there was oil pissing out of the oil cooler. I'm sure the same happens with spanking new BMW/KTM etc etc bikes from time to time, but just saying

Ironic isn’t it, I’m an hour’s ride from my BMW and Honda dealers, yet I have a Vogue and CFMOTO dealer about 1 km from my house

Guess I might go try a 900 just for fun, he’s got one on demo

All the chat about residual values has made me remember a thread from a week ago or so about a year old 1250GS being P/X’d against a new 1300….something like that.
Cost to change? £10,000!!!

Buying one of these latest Chinese motorcycles for £6,000-£9,000….it’s impossible to lose 10 grand ever, let alone in a year.

I’m my experience, as someone who has enjoyed motorcycles greatly over the years, a trip isn’t made better because the bike cost more/had more power/more kudos or whatever.
A lot of the time it is the opposite.

I currently have a Guzzi V85TT which I bought new two years ago for under £10,000.
The offerings from the Chinese brands look more and more tempting as each year goes by.

Are they shit, almost certainly not but I’d take a punt on one I think.
The only person my bike needs to impress is me.

I really don’t give a flying fuck if China dominates the automotive industry.
The European manufacturers have got lazy and sat on their laurels too long.
Just look at the price of new cars. A new VW Golf is nudging £40k FFS.
And look at the ridiculous price of new BMW bikes.A new farkled WankPanzer Auto is £30k and you can guarantee it wont be finished, leaving the blinkered PCPs knobs to do it for them . Just look at the debacle with the 1300GS being launched with faulty start buttons and all luggage being recalled as development still in progress.Cǔnts.
去他媽的那些懶惰的歐洲混蛋。

Do it and report back .

Exactly.
Rode around Picos and back on my £7k fully farkled Himalayan and it was fabulous.I’ve got a funny feeling Ive bought my last European motorcycle.

they already do via the supply chain and the greed of European manufacturers to focus on the bottom line. Germany has started to wake up a bit and wants to grow its semi-conductor business after being fucked over by the post Covid distribution debacle.

I was genuinely surprised when I saw how many dealers that the various Loncin brands have across France & Spain. I think most are selling Lexmoto scooters by the shedload but it will mean they are plugged into the supply chain.

I was expecting to have to travel a few hours to find a Voge dealer near my place in Brittany.
Nope-the nearest is 30 minutes away and there are FIVE within a ninety minute ride !!!!

The one next to me sells quads, side by sides and motoculture machinery, mainly CFMoto, Loncin and ODES

He’s also got 3 different sizes of Voge on demo, a 300, a 525 and a 900, some small scooters too

I was in there looking for an exhaust clamp for my Forza as I’d sheared the bolt in the captive nut and I don’t have a gas axe to get it out, the guy in the shop did it for me for a couple of euros (y)

Gives me the impression that they’re at least proper mechanics

Nearest CF Moto dealer to me is 25 minutes, they also sell Lambo tractors and are primarily an agricultural dealer! Makes it all very attractive.
