Voge DS900X

Errrr … Motorbikes are meant to be fun….

All this talk of depreciation-warranties pcp- cheaper than this …cheaper then that..

It is sucking all the fun out of it…

Buy it cos it makes you smile, gives you a tingle…..buy it cos you look back as you walk away….

Or - just buy a Honda.

This gentleman is what it should be about - see that face… it’s not wracked with worry over warranties or depreciation ….. no sireeeView attachment 356675

Good point , well made !!

I’m looking forward to getting the Voge . What’s quite funny is it looks like my brother is getting a new 900GS as he tried one at the weekend .

Voge is costing me £7850

His GS :

And that’s without any luggage etc .

The £5500 I’ve saved would also have bought my 450 Himalayan.

I can assure you I’ll have a huge smile on my face when we swap bikes for a ride and he realises my Voge is just as good as his GS , and his arse isn’t cold !!

BTW, also had a big smile on my face riding around Brittany in the rain on my Wing yesterday with EVskij and Bounce.

You haven’t saved the £5500 until you come to sell it

It's pretty clear what BMW have been doing with the f850gs/900gs which is having the complete bike built in China an marketing it in the rest of the world. Whether you think that the BMW dealer network and warranty packages are worth the extra wonga only you can decide. In the 1970's I remember Japanese bikes being referred to as "Jap Crap" and we all know how that turned out!!. BMW and KTM are going to be "hoist by their own petard" I'm sure that the Chinese have learned a great deal from their European counterparts about QC/QA in manufacturing. If they get the marketing and product support right in the European and North American markets then a lot of the mainstream manufacturers are stuffed........notwithstanding any political intervention from the US and EU.

Are you both zero vat, or have you taken the vat element out?

Both no VAT although that was the Jersey price on GS so 5% GST to come off that. So GS is only £12600 ish . Bargain

Thanks for the clarification, still a big saving over the BMW.

I had to go to Thorne today so went a bit further to my nearest Voge dealer.
He had one in which was ready to be delivered so I had a look.
First impressions are good. There’s no obvious clues that it’s a cheaply made bike. In fact it looks well made. Decent welding. Nicely routed cables etc.
I got talking to the salesman who explained the features of the bike. It’s a lot of bike for the money. Even the panniers/ top box have removable linings, and a built in forward facing camera which downloads to an SD card under the seat. Also has blind spot radar .
All in, it looks a right bargain. Only thing I didn’t like was the mat grey colour.

Does anyone on here own one yet?

You must be colour blind then as they don’t do it in grey .

Mate just bought a year old F900 with under 1000 miles for £7000. Chinese will have to go some to depreciate faster than that.

A GS ? I didn't think they'd been out a year yet ? (Steve...they start at £11995 by the way)
