Voge DS900X

Purchased a pair of boots from the US. The company makes boots in US and in Mexico. Same materials you couldn't tell one from the other, a Youtuber cut them in half to check. The difference in price is £200. They rational is to have the same quality for different pocket. They send the leather from a US tannery to Mexico, difference in labor cost tips the price.
If course it does and it provides employment for Mexicans who might otherwise be tempted to move north!

That's what gets me about Trump and his Brexit fans over here. The wold economy has been globalist for a century. It's just that the balance of trade favoured the UK, US etc. That is now ending and the smart thing to do is to cooperate and negotiate with the new economies which will still need our goods and expertise in tech, education etc.

We don't have to be naive about that. A bit of carrot and stick would be involved and from all parties but Trump's blunderbuss is a very risky approach if the Chinese are anywhere near serious in what they've said so far!

The problem with CPP is state subsidies. If you look at some of the prices you wonder how they can be as low as %50/60 versus a Western counterpart. In effect dumping, taking the competition out or/and making the competition to move to China. It was a usual tactic in the Communist East, in effect we were bartering products back in the day. My father went over there to help set up a textile factory, in exchange we were getting raw materials. I can see China eventually will achieve the Japan level of quality.
I mean they do make all the gear for Apple.

Quick question, has anyone had their Voge remapped and if so by whom?
Me . Hilltop.
Just arrived in Brittany today so first time off island and stretching it’s legs .

Only done 50 miles from St Malo to my house but it goes like stink . Perfect fuelling and sounds great after fitting the chinky linky pipe from Uncle Wang that junks the collector box . £40 delivered and the pretty much identical Arrow link pipe is £90.
Got to do 150 miles before first service in St Brieuc on Tuesday .

Nice little route planned for tomorrow to finish running it in before service on Tuesday

Nah. It’s placebo bollox. I read it here .
It’s invisible, undetectable, self-adaptable to any tuning parts on any and every bike, doesn’t require any changes to fuel, ignition or throttle tables because it’s magic firmware, is done without measuring afr or power at different throttle positions and only takes a few minutes to do. Of course it works.

Placebo bollox indeed. :D

Did 200 miles today.
Ready for first service tomorrow.
It’s a cracking bike .
I’ve done very little to it as it comes so fully loaded.
All I’ve done is fit taller screen and bar risers, and a link pipe to junk the collector box, all from Uncle Wang, upgraded the ECU firmware to 4.7 and had remote Hilltop tune.
Fuelling was a bit glitchy when delivered with 4.1 software. 4.3 improved it and 4.7 even better.
The Hilltop tune just fine-tuned it even more.
Fuelling is now perfect .
Comfort is great . The taller screen is perfect.Very planted handling and it goes like stink. It pops on upshifts with the link pipe.
Any negatives ?
Very few-cruise control switch seems a bit iffy and needs a firm press to engage and the quickshifter doesn’t like changing down 4-3 and 3-2 unless under high load. And the fuel gauge is a bit crap. Seems to stay full for quite a while, then drop quite quickly .
Got low fuel light having done 160 miles but only put in 10.5 litres. So still had another 6.5 litres or another 80+ miles range.
And that’s about it .
The 2025 bike has a few further upgrades such as six axis Bosch cornering ABS.
I’m pretty sure the TFT can now display full mapping too.
The base price has been reduced as the luggage is now separate, but is very good value at only £699 for top box and panniers.
It’s very good quality, felt-lined and fully waterproof.
Would I recommend the bike ? Absolutely . It’s a bloody bargain .
Could I have it as an only bike-again , absolutely . It’s all day comfy and also fine two-up. No wonder they are selling so well.
Time will tell in regards to fit and finish but so far it still looks like new and I’ve no reason to doubt it’ll hold up.
Guys on YouTube have done thousands of miles on theres with few complaints.
Couple of pics from today

So I’ve now done 1500 miles on the Voge, half of that being in the last 3 days.
And I can honestly say it’s better than expected.
I paid £7800 for the bike, fully loaded.
I’ve fitted a taller screen , bar risers and titanium link pipe to junk the collector box. And an Aoocci C6 Pro. Total cost just over £200 plus £300 Hilltop tune .
And it’s virtually faultless.
No wind blast or turbulence from screen . Comfy for about 6 hours then the start of arse wriggling .Suspension is great . So is handling .
I’ve averaged 60 mpg and we’ve been caning it . With 17 litre tank I’m getting 245 miles to empty.
We did 180 miles then filled up. I put in 11.2 litres and Ev on his 1290 put in 15.2 !
Heated grips and seat work well. Blind spot detection is brilliant as is collision warning -if a bike or car gets too close up your arse the hazard lights flash on dash .
Faults - only one minor one-the quick shifter doesn’t like down changes unless bike is under load.
And I could possibly do with a taller seat , which I might invest in when I can find one .
Otherwise that’s it .
Just given it quick 30 minute wash as it’s was filthy and it’s staying in Brittany .
Comes up like new , as it should

Stinking bike! I am surprised it retails at what it does, even without any offers or discounts, it is just allot of bike for the money with all the kit you could possibly ask for, apart from you personal preference that is a satnav and possibly change of seat to alter the height (highest for me). Awesome bike! If anybody is in the fence and still thinking, don’t think too long, as summer will be over before you make that decision.

creep :D

In the fence? hopefully they are 'still thinking' the alternative doesn't sound good ;)

Great review, although you’ve clearly no idea how to remap a bike nor identify whether or not it has been. Updating the ecu versions on the Voge overwrites any previous maps. When I took a bike to Hilltop he plugged a lead into the abs pump port (obviously didn’t know where the diagnostic port was!) then let the bike idle until the fan came on, i.e a simple hard ecu reset. Made no difference after the adaptive learning had kicked in.

Love mine….had it since April with 2025 spec. Just returned from a 2k European tour and it was fantastic.

No problems with the luggage and the satnav/interface has been updated and works well for me….no connection issues.

I still can’t get over the kit, quality, price mix…seems a steal to me let’s say I lose 60% over 3 years….it remains great value as the £ amount is still likely to be less than an equivalent spec from a certain German established brand.

No brainer.

Hey @oldnfat

I've got a 2025 DS900X but I'm struggling to firstly get the bluetooth to connect the bike to the Voge global app and then to get the Carbit Ride to work.

Any tips?
