The power gubbins they supply is designed to wire direct to the battery,

That i can do, howerver can see they do a Din to dc plug

if thats the case, can i make a short flylead and run it to the din socket under the seat?

i'm guessing it dosent draw enough amperys to trip the canbus ?

The maximum current available at a DIN socket depends on the bike - check the specs for yours. My 21 RT says it can supply 12A total for both sockets, which is an increase from the 10A of the previous model iirc. I'd be surprised if they'd actually beefed up the alternator - maybe going to all LED lights instead of the previous halogen provides the extra leeway? Who knows. W&S say their heated jacket is 90W, about 7.5A then, I'd guess most DIN sockets could cope with that, but if you add on the gloves, rated at 2.3A, I think you might be pushing it a bit if everything was running at max.

But it's easy enough to plug and play - why not try it?

My 2019 RT wouldn't supply enough for jacket and gloves, gloves on their own was ok. In the end I fitted the lead to the battery, much easier as it doesn't cut power when you start the bike. You can also buy a lead that fits the battery tender lead if you have one, as long as you change the fuse to the correct one, that is another option.
