Hi Folks,

I've been getting an intermitted warning light.

Checking the manual it's a faulty bulb - when I turn on the ignition, I get the normal slow flashing of the ABS light but the warning light stays on.

Happened last year and was the bulb so I changed it. But now it's come back and the bulb is fine - I'll replacee it again in case it's just 'weird' but any other suggestions?

Servo bulbs have a safety feature that switches both functions ( brake and rear light) to one filiment so the bulb still appears to work as it shoud.

Check that both filiments are working.

Thanks Steptoe - I checked that first as I noticed the one filament thing when I checked/changed the last bulb

Both filaments are working.

Mine does it every now and again too...

Stick a new bulb in and forget about it, oh and clean the contacts while you're in there :thumb2

Hi. I bought a 2003 1150 GSA last week with the same problem. I slapped the tail light lightly but nothing changed. I then fiddled with the connector next to the seat - I think it is the brake switch. Whala, the brake light worked again. I had to switch the bike of and on to get rid of the warning light. I believe that switch or connector have a loose connection. Will look at it tonight.

The connection is on the right hand side, just below/beside the seat. Road home from work and the brake light is still fine and no warning light yet.

I've had it before, where I got the warning light, I looked at the bulb, both filaments were working. However upon removing the bulb, and shaking it about. One filament had broken, but made intermittent contact. So just change the bulb for what it costs, at least you then have a spare.

God, how lazy am I - still not gotten round to it yet!

Thanks all for the suggestions.
