An alternative? Forget the warranty and put the money saved into an ISA account for when you might need it for any replacements. Then if you don't end up needing it - put it towards your next bike

I took out a Warranty Direct when my Motorrad one ran out. It was considerably less than the BMW one and I have had a claim on it that was dealt with by Warranty Direct quickly, efficiently and with no "wriggling". There was no excess on my policy but I obviously had to pay the dealer for the work first and then claim it back from Warranty Direct. ( They had previously authorised the work to go ahead with the dealer) I received a cheque from them two days later, virtually by return of post.
My warranty runs out later this month so I am waiting for the renewal to see if it has gone up in price!
