Warranty issue

Bought my 2005 1200 gs from a bmw dealer in the Uk last Aug and was given ( bought) the regulation 12 month warranty.Never received any documentation with it other than a number to ring if I had any probs.Mechanically no probs at all however I have noticed the paint lifting in bubbles from the lower front cover of the engine.
Any body out there had any success in making a claim to rectify it.I dont know cos obviously I never had a list of what is or not covered .

I`m pretty sure they will only do this under warranty in the initial 2 years from new.

Give them a call though, if you don`t ask you don`t get

I had some corrosion on the off side rocker cover after under 3 years of ownership from new.
I had bought the extended BMW Warranty.
My local Hampshire dealer said corrosion is not covered by the extended warranty, but asked Bmw for an ex gratia payment which was 1/2 the cost of a new cover (not labour) which I thought fair.

Ok thanks for that,looks like its down to me.
Can anyone recommend a suitable paint to apply after rubbing down,rather get it done and sorted sooner than later. Its only just started to appear
