Being a man of a certain age, I struggled to read the info on the screen of my TT Rider 2 without reading glasses.

Bye bye small screen and hello Zumo 590. Just a bit different :bow

Another thing I like about the 590... you can read it in direct sunlight ( if we ever get any ) :thumb2

I thought that the display was much clearer on the 550 than the 590.

I think that the display is disappointing on the 590. My old 550 was much better. I'm considering getting rid of the 590 and going back to the 550.

At least I'll be able to see that it's disappointing....! :D

A well timed thread.
Being of a similar disposition (increasingly needing reading glasses) I'm finding my old Zumo550 is getting difficult to read. I don't bother with audio and just eyeball the route on the satnav so being able to read that top line with the 'next turn' info is important :)

As no one makes a 'reading visor', I think a 590 is in my future...

The 590 also seems to be a reasonable price in comparison the the new 595 (although I'm not sure what the difference is...)

Loving my 590. Did loads of research but can't remember it!( 590 vs 595). Without an audio lead it's a doddle. Lots of new cool features like live traffic via your smartphone for free etc. No probs with screen yet

Totally agree - took the 590 out for a test ride over the weekend and really struggled to see the screen. Nowhere near as good as my 550. Lots of nice features but if you can't see the screen, bloody useless to me!

As I said in an earlier post, we've just made a Sunshade case for 6" Garmins and TomToms.

See pictures below with Nuvi 66LM. No glasses required reading this one, even for me.
