Right I've done the seach thing and it came up with 14 pages of threads with the words 'waterproof' & 'cover' in them :blast

I'm looking for a recomendation for a waterproof all season cover that will fit over a 1200 GSA with panniers & topbox fitted

Does anyone have or know of such a cover? :nenau

I bought the BMW one from BVM in Stroud i can't remember how much it was but it must be cheap as i'm a tight arse!

I have a Stormex outdoor cover large that I used on my XJR1300 a couple of winters ago. Just tried it on my GSA with full luggage and it fits down to the floor
If its for use outside your house it works great wouldn't want to transport it around with me tho as it fills a pannier:thumb2

I recently bought the Motrax Deluxe Waterproof Motorcycle Bike. It fits the GSA well, and the loops for the locks are very handy for keeping it on in windy weather.

The big problem I have is that it is supposed to be breathable but it is not and the inside gets very wet from condensation.

I thought I had found the answer to my bike cover problems when I got one of these. Big mistake. It fits brilliantly with panniers and top box and is totally waterproof UNTIL THE FIRST WINDY NIGHT. After that and bits of the cover that were on a corner of the top box or over the mirrors or anywhere else where the cover is rubbing lose their waterproof coating and allow the rain to piss through.

The waterproof coating appears to be some sort of silicone or rubberised coating which is sprayed onto fabric. Rub the fabric from inside or out and the coating simply rubs off leaving just the fabric.

Look up through the cover against the sunlight and you will see where the damage is. My cover is only a month old and already I have had to patch the damage with a silicone fabric glue which hopefully will keep it reasonably watertight until I find some other "Absolutely Waterproof" cover to waste my cash on.

Thanks for the Info, I have only recently bought mine. so it is as yet like new.
I too thought this cover, fully enclosed, for the price, was the new "Sliced Bread", I will now keep an eye on it, thanks again for the heads up :thumb2

Best regards Stretch :)

Got a replacement cover today. I still have my doubts about durability but must give a big :thumb for Maria at http://www.motorcycleclothingshop.co.uk/ for going out of her way to get a replacement quickly.

Great customer service
