I had a pair years ago. Can anyone recommend a pair? I hate forcing wet boots through rain pants!

Thanks lads! I’ll go buy some somewhere 👍🏻. I got caught this morning. Proper trousers not at home and I got soaked to my underpants!

Berghaus Paclite goretex
Had mine a few years
Been 100% waterproof on the bike
Scotland at its worst failed get through
Go in their own bag....about the size of a grapefruit

Where I go beating Berghaus paclite are the over trousers of choice, but the (cheaper) Hydroshell version not Goretex. I’ve had mine for about 4 seasons now and despite loads of damage to the outer shell is still waterproof. They get a far harder time on a shoot than on a bike bashing through thorny cover and sopping wet grass, bracken and heather, although not at 70+mph admittedly and not sure how well they’d do sat in a puddle of rain on a saddle. I probably walk 5-7miles a day in them in heavy cover about 30x a year.

Berghaus Paclite.

Full length leg zip, packs up to the size of a drinks can, gore-tex waterproofing.

I've got a pair of those for walking but only tend to use them in colder weather as on a day like today 13C you will get betty swollocks. I prefer softshell trousers which will turn a shower but will wet out in persistent rain (even gortex will eventually wet out. ) However most soft shell trousers and jackets will still keep you fairly warm even when they wet out. If you are looking for a pair for use on the bike ignore me. :D

No need for plastic bags over the boots .... :thumby:

They simply work great :thumby:

If they're just for the bike...I'd go with Scott Ergo Pro overtrousers. I had no issue getting them on over my size 11 Forme Adv boots and they stayed put low down on the boot better than the Berghaus ones I also have a pair of (now the wifes)

I can recommend you don't get any as both pairs I had leaked and it was chore to put them on. Buy goretex laminated gear.

I have a pair of RevIt ones which open at one side and both legs zip up from waist down. Brilliant in the rain. So easy to put on in the rain
