Went into Wollastons in Northampton earlier today and before I knew it had put a deposit down on a 2010 R1200RT SE with Dynamic Pack. June 2010 bike in polar metallic and done 10000 miles. In lovely condition and has been well looked after by the previous owner.

I am trading in my 2007 R1200GSA....................I have done the right thing haven't I?

The only thing you've done wrong is not keep the GSA as well

I bet you'll love the RT at least as much as the GSA and if you don't so what, you can always change again

Hi Dave, if only I could have kept the GSA as well.

I am really looking forward to getting it and hopefully it will bring with it a change in the weather.

I live a life jumping between the two bikes, and have to say, the RT is a surprisingly capable bike. I seem to have two completely different heads - I grow horns on the GSA and slip into quiet efficient stealth mode on the RT. It runs out of puff at the top pretty quickly, but that aside .... nice bike.

I have ridden one and they are great bikes, but at the age of 56 I don't think that I am quite old enough yet give up the GS

As an aside and re our brief conversation the other day on here.

Did you know today is the 367th anniversary of The Battle Of Naseby.

After visiting the dealers I rode on to the battlefield site just outside Northampton and took a few pics.

I was going to visit the site first and had I done that I would have been in a different state of mind when I visited the dealers and probably not signed on the dotted line..............I blame Cromwell for my impulsiveness I do!!!!!
