What is this...?

I changed the rear sub frame on my R1150gsa (2002) and the replacement subframe , which was from a 2003 gs had this on it, its just below the rear brake reservoir.
Any ideas what it is

Dave,
Its the mounting point where the rigid lines from the ABS system transition to the flex hose for the rear caliper.

You must be running 'sans' ABS

That's a very good question,very well put I thought, but unfortunatley,I have no idea what the feck it's for.

Is it a GS subframe,or could it be off an R?

Vern yes its a GS subframe checked the part number and its a GS/GSA subframe

yes kirky I can off it on Boxing day couple of years back 40 mph and and landed heavily on the left hand side, been have a problem with pannier on that side being not as tight as fit the other side, I changed the pannier frame , no change so changed the subframe and still no change

tried to but kirky was nt a big enough nut lol
