Hi All.

After replacing my main output bearing and seal over the weekend on my GS1150(03) I thought it would be a good idea to check inside the rubber gaiter for leaks etc.
I found small amounts of fluid and dirt which i think is normal, what has worried me was a small roller pin fell on to the floor!
Now, i dont know if this is anything to do with it, but the drive does feel/sounds a little clunky when at lower stop/start speeds whilst riding.
I dont know if i'm been a little paranoid, but this is the first shaft driven bike ive owned so its hard to gauge what is normal!
I guessing there is possible paralever bearing wear or to much play on the univrsal joint?

Cheers :)

Could you give us length and diameter, Im sure one of the bods who has recently got intimate with their paralever could tell you where its come from, I would say it looks to be too large to be from the driveshaft UJ but its been a while since I had my paws on one.
MattW to the white phone please

tricky to guage it by optical versus woodgrain, can you measure it?

My guess is left over from a previous repair?:comfort

Like Steppers sez - looks paralever to me, but tricky to say without mesurements (I have a couple of knackered bearings on my workbench that I could brutally dismantle for comparison :D )
