I've got a spare convert uj kicking about somewhere. Got a bit of play, but might be useable/rebuildable?
Got an engine and two gearboxes too![]()
Great, I will give you a shout if I need any parts.

Dave,
If you aren't mechanically inclined Old guzzis are a nightmare in terms of needing maintainance and tend to have been bodged or neglected by previous owners.
You would be better off paying a little extra and buying a modern v7. There are literally hundreds of parts available for them to put any style you fancy together. I know the bhp doesn't appear to be very high you'll find it's actually more powerful than the 1000cc spades and G5.
The dyno guys I use have an historic record of all the bikes they've had on the dyno. The most powerful old Guzzi they've seen is a heavily modified Le Mans that produces 58bhp at the wheel.
heres one up your street

so yes i think it may be a new(ish) v7 not to keen on any other models .
What about a V9 then (850 engine)? The only problem is they are still quite new so 2nd hand will be an issue. I keep looking at them and am sorely tempted. I think the basic bike is almost there for me and wouldn't take a lot to make it 'just so'.

its lovely but my limit is around £3500 max as i dont want to get in to it for a lot of many as it will probably sit in the garage unused so i dont mind having a small amount of money tied up in it , plus i need the extra cash for exhausts ,handlebars, seat, etc etc![]()

You might consider spending less money on pug ugly boots, soon able able to afford the bike you want.![]()
The tank on those is just wrong. Doesn`t fit the rest of the bike IMO.
And IMO too.
Neither V9 model looks quite right.
