Hi guys. I have started to notice some vibration coming from my rear wheel. Is this a symptom of the final drive bearing about to go on me? What are the symptoms of a failing bearing, I did try a search but didn't come up with anything.
Cheers.
Ryan.

try this

link to a good post which may help you in your diagnosis.

Try grabbing the wheel at the 9 & 3 o'clock positions and check for movement of the wheel by pushing/pulling away from the centre line of the bike, then try the same but at 12 & 6 o'clock, repot back with your findings.

Could also be symptomatic of worn paralever bearings. Simple to replace and can sometimes be tightened up to eliminate any play.

Hi hops. Thanks for the reply. I have done as you said and didn't actually find any play in the wheel?

Then turn the wheel by hand and feel for any vibrations. If you can feel them while you're riding then you'll certainly feel them by turning the wheel by hand..... if it is the wheel.
