Where to get a 19mm front wheel hex thingy

...because I was stupid enough to but the 22mm one for the 1200s, I've had a look around but cannot find a 19mm version?
 
You dont need one for the 800 series bikes. By nipping up the clamp screws on the opp leg you can torque up the retaining bolt, unscrew the clamps, pump the forks a few times and then torque up all the screws.
 
Before you buy one, check your toolbox - if you've got a 3/8th socket set you might already have one!

My 3/8th plug socket also has a 19mm hex head, so I use an extension bar inside the socket and 'voila' ...

Local Halfords has these on the shelf in the motorbike section

three sizes as shown in the second link above...


edit : they even have Haynes manuals for older 06 GS's...

Sooty I did this the first time, but didn't re-release and pump the forks... made a horrible squeaking noise.

Greg had a check but can't find one in my toolbox :-)

Mr LAN will take a look when I'm out and about later :-)
