Whistle stop Normandy Beaches

I'm heading down to the Pyrenees in Sept, will land in Le Havre at 0800 and have an overnight (poss two) stop in Melle planned, that gives me a generous amount of time to get there. So I planned a whistle stop tour of one or two WW2 sites, but what to see in the few hours we have??
Your recommendations will be appreciated
