when cleaning my 07 GS yesterday I noticed white grease on the outside of the drive shaft casing in the area of the rubber shroud. I have not seen this before and have a few queries for anyone more knowledgable.

1. I assume that it's some form of packing grease that's oozing out - true?

2. if it is do I have a broken seal that needs replacing?

3. does it mean that I need to repack it with grease

4. Is it somethoing horrible that I should scurry to my dealer with while it's still in warranty?

regards

Nothing to worry about.
All that it is, is excess grease that is put on the ends of the drive shaft boot, to enable it to slip into the drive shaft housing and final drive. (the drive shaft is not packed in grease)
