forgot to put some copperslip onto the rear of the rear brake pads (r1200gs).Is it back out to the garage or will they be ok ? :confused:

Only required to stop sqeeeeeling. Forgot to do mine too; and fine for a year.+ :thumb2
 
Never use it, brake dust and grit stick to it, turns it into grinding paste.


For a grinding effect, you need rotation or movement.

It isn't possible for the pads to move in a grinding motion. :nenau

Always used it on the rear of pads, and the pad "pin" without any trouble at all, and never seen any actual problems caused by it's use.

I agree the pads won't move but what abut the piston's, there gonna move in and out :nenau I've seen plenty of damage caused by people slapping copaslip all over, not i'll admit on bikes so much, but enough so that i'll not use it.

Still at the end of the day it's personal choice, I just don't think there's much benefit to be had.
