Y'see that on the news? Feckin mental. That underpass they showed has only been open a few weeks. There'll be some questions to be answered on Monday.

There'll be some questions to be answered on Monday.
Water Service has been answering those questions for years....... "we need money to upgrade the sewer system".
Problem is, when they figure out where to get more money, everyone bitches about having to pay water rates.

A dry start
Just saw the lads off at Belfast City Hall. The Celt, Big fella, Leprachaun, Mzokk and Wilson Away fairly sharp at 6am, joe has zeroed his trip meter.
The west link is still closed as is the M2 southbound. nthbound was open. Floods on the shore road and Antrim rd. Some cars abandoned. Lots of gravel washed down from the azoo onto Antrim rd Will edit in a start pic after I get a brew.

I was only heading down to Burr point then back up to give the misses a nudge.
Dry ish at city hall.
A bit wet going down the Peninsula....but dry ish at Burr Point/Ballyhalbert Harbour.

Met the lads at Slea Head earlier and rode back over to Molls gap with them, picking up gerryc on the way.
I peeled off at Molls gap and took a short-cut home through the Gap of Dunloe but got a text at 9:30 to say they had arrived at Mizen Head.

Managed a bit over 1100km in almost 20 hours while the Celt, Wilson, BigFella & Leprechaun will get close to 1600 in 24 hours
