Winchester garages?

Can anyone recommend a garage in Winchester that my Daughter can take her car for MOT and not get the p**s taken!!!

She won't be home before it's due so I need to make sure she takes it somewhere!!

Preferably near to the city centre so she won't have to worry about alternative transport!

Not in Winchester, but in Basingstoke (not that far away) there is Dodds Garage at Sherfield On Loddon. They've done my cars and bike MOTs over the years, and I've always found them to be outstandingly fair (and thorough). They also did a reasonable line in servicing on the cars.

I am sure that there will be somewhere nearer, and no doubt someone will be along with a set of alternatives.

Small independent garage, I've never any problems, and they've never tried to get work done other than just testing it and giving me the new ticket (been taking my car there for 3 years).

When I lived in Winchester we used to use a guy in Kings Worthy, he seemed OK and Mrs Shep used to take the car in and I never felt she was getting a raw deal.

The garage in question is between the post office and the Rod Box.

I've no connection with them and no recent knowledge of their quality

If you are near Bramdean - Mick at Bramdean Garage is good - I would say would be very considerate towards your daughter - Bramdean is about 20 mins max from Winchester but he does get booked up - he opens Saturday
