A thin film of moly grease on exposed metal bits (banjo bolts especially) to keep them clear of salt is the basis of the best protection - but all you really need to do is to stop cleaning around early Nov and then not clean the damn thing again until April - maybe even May. Ride the bike at every opportunity - don't wash it - the salt will sit on top of the layer of road gunk - if you wash it - you have to start again, or wash it daily.
Oh, did I mention: Don't wash your bike!
I also note with dismay that the leading edge of the clutch and brake master cylinders along the mating surfaces has corroded under the paint and is blistering. I ran a smear of grease along that too when I prepped my bike a couple of w/e's ago.
Cheers,
Fin.
