I have read with interest the many postings referring to cast wheels and the benefits they provide for road riding. However, I quite like the look of wire wheels and wondered if it would be possible to have similar wire wheel rim sizes as the cast wheels provide, built onto the standard hubs. Or failing this, at least move to a 17’’ front wire wheel rim. Has anyone else considered this? Is it possible to lace the standard hubs into wide rims?

Wheels!

If your doing it for purely tyre reasons then think again as Bridgestone have introduced the BT020's that will now fit the current rim sizes!

Dunlop also do a more biased D607!

Of course you may have other reasons!;)
