Happy New Year to all!-I was changing the bolt that holds on the right hand bar end weight with a shiny new s/Steel one from Steptoe's excellent kit-seemed easy enough even for me! I didn't disrupt the twist grip or clamp etc. however the throttle twist grip now seems overly "wobbly"with excessive side to side and end to end movement. I've checked BMW and Haynes manuals and can't work it out. How much play should the twist grip have? Any ideas o wise ones? Thank's and all the best for 07.
Ive just done the same whilst fitting my shiny new cruise control, the original bolt was Fecked by the time i got it out, it was glued in with locktight. I looked in the stainless kit i got from Steptoe and low and behold was an identical bold, but stainless, not black. it screwed back in nicely, but i didnt re-glue it
But getting to your problem, i havnt noticed any play in the throttle since.
