WORLD LAUNCH...SORT OF...

the HP2 is packed with innovations such as the world's first motorcycle spring/damper system running exclusively on air

Eh? What did Fox Air-Shocks run on then? As available around 1980 for MX bikes.

This cardboard cutout looked pretty real to me.

Outside Prestige in Bexleyheath last night ...

is it me or does the HP2 resemble a touratech revamp, and if they bring out a gs1200 one then even more so ????

Nah... if Touratech had anything to do with it it would be very very late...

Anyway ... hope your all going to come and have a look... don't think the pictures do it justice ... and the presentation DVD is the dogs danglies...

Here are some pics of the introduction day in Holland.
I wasn't there, I don't need more than my ol' airhead for offroading.
It's more capable than I am :)

Hi Ian, I may be wrong but didn't the Fox shocks use air for springing but still have oil for damping? The new BM shock uses air for both.

According to the sales guy today,it is so you can sit on the bike and adjust the rear suspension to get the bike level
There are 22(i think he said)diff suspension settings for the front.
The rear has a nifty purge or inflate system and it comes with a quality hand pump to re-inflate the air bag if you let too much air out.
Did anyone catch the nifty rear brake pedal adjuster for standing or sitting comfort!!!

I'm 5 foot 9 inches (tall ! ) , and miles too short for the HP2. could not stay on it on tip-toe ! I hope you can let loads of air out of the rear shock to drop it down one or two feet !!
Great rugged look in the flesh though. Strange that the battery is exposed to the elements...

Went to see it today@ pidcocks & it's not for me dont like the looks & if its an off road bike it's way to big for where i ride

If you went to Garmisch, like us lot..............you could touch, climb all over, drool, bounce up and down on the suspenders, sit on the works bikes, listen to the full Akrapovic systems on the works bikes, watch the Motorrad Enduro team - ride and jump the bloody things, fiddle with the bikes etc

Yah but did Jimmy let you put your club sticker on his race bike... :thumb

hp2

just called in at blue bell this afternoon and there sitting in the window is a real not cardboard cutout hp2.
As all the press/media says this is a performance machine and defenetly not one i would like as an all rounder.people who are thinking of buying one for a ride out on a sunday forget it unless youve got an arse the size of kylie`s and the skin on it as thick as tony blairs.
The bike is the dogs wotsits but i`ll stick with my gs1200
ps. by the way its sold............ suprise suprise.

Riding something that heavy and that fast off road must be pretty worrying?

I got my WR stuck in a mud hole the other week, it took me 45 minutes to get it out, that fat HP2 would still be there now!

Sorry, that aint no enduro bike, dersert racer possibly. Dream on Beemer......

My WR would eat it alive! Bring it on.......
