So much for a professional photographer. 🙄

Looks exactly the same .
If you spent more time making cabinets than meddling on here you might make some dosh 😜

Agreed even iPhones give you guides on getting horizontals right. Unless Arsey’s mighty scoot was bending the tarmac🤣🤣🤣

The Xadv will accelerate quicker than the NC due to it's 15" wheel.
Small wheels spin up quicker.
Dobles had a demo bike two months ago.

Farkles

Great quality as always from SW Motech

Back from 2 weeks away and some more bits had arrived.
Had time to fit them yesterday afternoon .

Comfort seat and console bag.

IMG_7682.jpegIMG_7683.jpeg

The original seat is a bit of a sod to get off, as is fitting the new one as there’s not much wriggle room to get your hand in to undo the bolts and they are very tight from the factory.

Tried a few tools and nothing worked until I remembered by mini Wera set

IMG_7697.jpeg

The comfort seat definitely feels plusher and offers more support.

Then fitted Evotech shorty levers

IMG_7677.jpegIMG_7678.jpeg

SW Motech bars

IMG_7684.jpeg

And finally a Puig hugger.

Think that should be sorted . Ready to take away, but not till 2026.

Yikes. That looks like it's off an e-scooter. Everything else looks good but that seems a strange choice. Sure it'll work well though.

Wasn’t a strange choice as it was pretty much the only option for a hugger . I like it and Puig make good stuff so should work

Farkling complete ( I think )

Now at least 20 mph faster 😀

Shame it’s probably 11 months before I take it on a proper trip ( Pyrenees/Alps/Vercors)

Thought I’d done with farkling but decided I’d increase luggage capacity a tad .I’m taking the ADV to the Pyrenees and Alps next May and was planning to use the Dusc top box and one of my Enduristan roll bags on pillion seat .
I don’t want panniers really as would look too wide and possibly fuck up handling a bit .

I could simply buy the SW Motech Pro Side Carriers for the bike then use my Dusc luggage that I use on Vstrom.
But it would be very wide and overkill .

Then I came across the Givi 15 litre Canyon soft bags and quick release frames which would be perfect for small stuff like Scott waterproofs and base layers etc .

Pretty good value at about £250 delivered in total so order placed .

I’m going to see how many miles I can get from a tank by carrying some spare fuel and run it dry.
Since filling up I’ve been getting 68 mpg according to the readout .
The tank is 13.2 litres so 2.9 gallons so I should get 197 ish miles out of a tank.
The final bar of fuel started flashing at 140 miles on the trip.I’m now up to 160 and she’s still running so time will tell.
Be good to know what I can get from a tank.

I did almost that with my 350 ADV, except I didn't have any spare fuel with me, and it caused the engine management light to come on, and stay on until I reset it with a paper clip on the diagnostic plug. Hopefully that won't happen to you, but if it was me, I'd get the info about doing the reset before the test.

I’m averaging around 68 mpg and have done 145 miles or thereabouts a couple of times and put just over 9l in both times.

One time I did about 170 (the last 30 was stressing looking for a garage). I got 10.8l in it so I agree that it’s good for about 200 miles before it runs out assuming the mpg is consistent.

I’m going to be trying 160 ish next time and see how much I get in, I think that’ll be my benchmark with a bit in reserve.

I think a real world range of 170 is achievable but it takes a bit of thinking about whereas a countdown fuel range like the 350 would be nice.

Bit the bullet and decided to fill up as got to 182 miles and thought there can’t be much left

IMG_8042.jpeg

At 71.4 mpg that should equate to 207 miles range.

I put in 11.77 litres

IMG_8043.jpeg

So I had 1.43 litres left , which at 71.4 mpg would be another 22.5 miles, so 204 total.

So the average mpg read is pretty accurate, but the last bar of fuel starts flashing a good 60 miles before you’ll run out .
