Can anybody help. My kids (honest) Xbox has been playing up. When you put a disk in it often comes up saying it doesn't regognise the disk. Is the machine dirty? And if so, how do I clean it?

i got the same message when playing a new game "halo 2" i took thew game back and got another copy ..its been fine so far

You're link was helpful........It confirmed my console is fu**ed!

Y2 I had the same problem with Halo, Halo 2, Half-Life 2 etc, etc. Some of which are brand new.

I now need to find out how to get it fixed or does anyone think xbox 360 is worth the outragous cost as we don't play online?

If you have to replace or repair it it might be worth getting the 360 remember when the original x-box came out the first rrp was £299 so the 360 looks a better deal from new.

the same thing happened to our x box, so we replaced the dvd drive.

Apparently its a common problem. It wasnt expensive, and anyone with a screw driver can do it.
