Well I've had this a short while and have recomissioned it after it's previous owner had it in storage for 2 to 3 years
Yes usual carburreter strip and clean recent battery
Spark plug , etc
OEM air box is removed ( but with it) k&n filter fitted

Its easy to start if your NOT 70yrs of age and have the ability to stand up straight ( which I don't,with PD)
It's tax and MOT exempt as it's DVLA historic class
For Sale at £4995
Possible px of a classic ( with leccy start) W.H.Y ?
It's been fun but with Yamaha xt500 on the market at £5k to over £10k( silly monies)
This is a nice one
I have video of it running
A few pics below
It's MID Wales Sy19 area
Drop me a pm in the first instance
Cheers
Steve aka Magwa

This was first registration in New Zealand by its original owner who imported it to UK in 1998.
It was taken as a px by a retired friend of mine against a more expensive bike.
I'd had it as a project to recommission
Now I could just sit on it until the spring of 2027
But that's a shame
So see what you think
Speedo is in km.so it's a 24,000 miles in true miles

I could dream. The first, and only, bike I ever cartwheeled. But I am now nearly 70…

Hmm….

I always fancied one of these, but settled for a ‘76 Z900A4 a few years ago. However, the px would have to be my way…if you fancy the idea.

Cheers Pete
Lovely machine

But I'm more BSA Bantam, c15 lightweight machines

Something to improve and fiddle with
As I'll never seriously ride on the road again
A cheaper px in the 2k region
Its to keep my head and hands occupied

A sensible choice. Frankly, I’ve spent more time fettling than riding this one. Running out of things to do on it now!

Yes I fully understand that one
As below
I've been fettling this for two years now
BMW WW2 BMW R75 Afrika Corp (desert sand paint) replica
Perhaps I should look for a small leccy start jap machine 😂
E.g. a old WET dream 😋 Honda 🤣

Bump up
Clocks are in km
So 39,000km = 24,000 miles
Mots from 1997/98 to confirm milage
I might take a classic bike px
Eg light weight with leccy start pref

Update to answer queries
Its a supertrapp style exhaust system
Its NOT overly loud
OEM systems are VERY difficult to find
The OEM air box is with the bike ,( in with the spares) The bike is fitted with a K&N style air filter
The bike had a rear carrier fitted
The bike is still on 6v system
I've got a couple of mp4 videos of it from the previous owner
Obviously can't post them here ( too long)
I'm about to list this on FB marketplace & a classic bike site at a higher price ( like you do )
Inc a nice tailored bike cover ( as below pic)

I've found x3 OEM exhaust/"silencers on eblag & FB marketplace at £800, ( sold) £999 & £1026 All second hand and obviously nearly 50yrs old.
IMHO that's stupid monies for silencers.
So that's why I've kept with the fairly new pattern supertrapp style as fitted
Pics as below-:
OEM from e bay advert at £1026
Pattern at £249 as fitted to my xt500

That looks like a bike I owned in the 80’s looking at the reg plate or it’s a very similar reg plate, was it originally a USA import?

MLB NZ Ltd make replica silencers / complete exhaust systems which, by all accounts, are very good quality.

Cheers
No prices quoted
But
Website states" no longer available "
As I'm selling I shall NOT be seeking another exhaust system

Well I’ve just looked them up and they’re saying two in stock. I had an email from them recently with prices that includes shipping .
