I like it :thumb2 it's your bike and you can do as you please. It looks to be done very well.

I tried to do the metal side panels on my 1200 adv but made a hash of it and ended up kicking £12 worth of carbon wrap around my garden like a child  :D

Jon :beerjug:

If they were real carbon fibre panels then yes but if it's just wrap then no, definitely not.

Looks good to me... and will stop the original being scratched..so its a win-win :thumb

I'm afraid it's a humble no from me. As a general rule I like my motorcycles being kept as they come from factory as possible. Specially if we are talking about a £14k BMW.

To me a motorbike personalised/pimp/tuned/customised loses value in the second hand market.

Even changing the mirrors.

Big no from me.

BMW spend millions designing a new bike so why feel the need to personalise it like that ?

It's not a Harley

Horrible... not because it's changed from original spec but because it's carbon fibre. Ok, it's not carbon fibre, it's a 'lookalike', but I don't like either form.
It's been about long enough now to not get exited about anymore, but still people are.
Basically it's a pattern, and I don't like patterns. :nenau

Carbon is a bit naff. Ok on a Mk 2 Escort.

Looks well done however not to my taste. Your bike to do with what you please. Good luck

Plain charcoal would have looked better in my opinion, carbon fibre is and always has been horrible.

Still, look on the bright side,no one is going to steal it!

Perhaps it’s a trick of reflection but judging by the top photo (view from above)... whoever applied the vinyl appears not to have matched the pattern angle correctly between the two sides making it look a bit... well like vinyl, instead of genuine carbon. If that’s the case then best removed me thinks.
