I have seen threads on these sites saying that you can increase the volume of mp3 players??,
So?, can the Creative zen touch`s volume be increased to overcome my earplugs on the m/way etc??.
Its a good bit of kit and the volume with plugs is the only letdown, and make music a background affair.

Any help and thanks in advance..G

 I presume you must be using the exterior type??

My Zen is more than loud enough at 21 (of 25) at full motorway sppeds (and with a noisy lid) when just straight through the Ultimate ears, and I can't go higher than 17-18 when it's plugged into the Autocom

There's something called a 'Bonjeroo' IIRC that some people here use- an external battery powered mini-amplifier, but I've never looked into it meself as I've not needed to.

To answer your specific question though.....No idea

I'd start on the Creative forum.......I've found some very useful info there before on other creative products....a quick google should sort you out.

:)

PS Don't ever ever try and mount it anywhere on the bike in any way BTW.......keep it on your body.

my (40gig) version has packed up three times now with hard drive failures caused by vibration.

otherwise, top bit of kit :thumb

I'm on my second Zen Touch due to vibes trashing the hard disk when in the tankbag, agreed Fanum, the jacket pocket is the best place for the HDD based Mp3 players.

I find that I get 'clipping' of the Audio amp in my Autocom Pro7 Sport if I have the volume up too high on my Zen Touch, especially with any really bassy tracks. This is a feature of the Autocom units to protect the helmet speakers from damage if driven too hard. Usually 23 is the absolute Max on my Zen to compensate for my noisy Aria lid and the earplugs.

Incidentally I put my lid on once and forgot my plugs, when the Autocom and Mp3 came online it nearly blew out my eardrums.

Thanks

Thanks for all the help out there!!, I forgot to say that I use it through my Autocom,, Its good without plugs but not good enough with plugs in??. Ime new to Autocom and mp3.
Is there a better way of setting the volume on the Autocom to get better sound or is full volume on the Autocom the way to go???.
How about the vox setting as well??.
Going to the TT fri night ,and the long way up the M6 is pritty boring with sounds!!>
