Just passing on an address where one guy in the Dublin Motorcycle Touring Club got his aged Zumo 550 repaired for reasonable money...

He posted it over, €9.00 airmail, took 3 days. Communication was by email. The man there in PALMDR is "Chris Short, President".

They replaced digitiser, rubber button, internal back-up battery for USD78.

Repaired a corroded contact which was making the charging unreliable - maybe this was arcing slightly for a while. Repair by soldering - USD14.50 or replace back housing USD59.90. Not sure which he got done.

Thanks Laurence - i ordered a new 396 last night as my 550 is banjaxed.
