the local dealer is much nearer too

one of the main reasons I didn't buy another GS..my nearest BMW stealer, sorry dealer, is in Southport and I'm on sunny Wirral ( about 60 miles round trip).......so opted for a lovely ZX12r from local dealer..well chuffed :thumb

Same here.

Live in Kingsley and work in Widnes, so it's either Crewe, Southport or Manchester.

The s/h one is at Millenium Motorcycles St Helens with only 120 miles on the clock. It's the dark green colour and looks great.

£200 below list.

Was offerred peanuts for the GS by them and, since mine's a company bike, have to buy new or ex-demo to recover the VAT.

A guy is selling his 2006 ZZR 1400 with 1200 miles on the clock for £6000,so equif of about £7000 with VAT on.

Is that a good buy ? (Not that I want one,as such)

Just sold mine in stock trim for £7000 with 4000 miles on it, due a service and a new rear tyre, so that I could buy my GS1200 so I would say it's a good buy. Also the one you are talking about is blue which are in far fewer numbers and now more in demand. Lovely bike and went like stink, esp after a few mods. I'm a member of the 200mph club and saw a best of 207mph (with a tail wind) out of mine at Woodbridge airbase. But after 3 Hayabusa'a and 4K on the ZZR I just wanted to try something different, hence the GS. And I'm loving it!
