It may be a lot of money for some wires and ties, but if it helps minimise the chance that my bike won't start, it's worth it... I hate the uncertainty whether it'll start...
I want to never be in a no-start situation again, so a new battery and a new starter and a starter booster kit will go a long way to achieve that. I'm even considering a new alternator - HC-Cargo do one for the 1150GS...
Being honest I would go New battery New Starter and see where it goes from there
Also Make a New 2nd "Earth" to frame or engine (top shock bolt works well )
