I had hyper-lite LEDs mounted within the tail-light lens of my old K75S and they worked great. Has anyone considered similar for the F800GS? Their website at http://www.hyperlites.com/ shows CAN-BUS-compatible wiring. I wonder how I would install too - clamp them to the turn signals?
Here in traffic-jammed Southern California I want to make sure braking is highly visible. Any other recommendations? Thanks.
I can confirm their view of can bus wiring - I posted this in an earlier thread:-
The rear light connector is accessible under the tail cover and the wiring is as follows;
grey/white - positive
brown - negative
The good news is the positive connection doubles as a tail/stoplight with 4v normal and 12v under braking.
The high level led's on my givi box are now an additional tail and brake light
Have tested the tail and brake lights for a couple of hours to ensure no overload and all seems fine.
The difference between 2.8v and 4v is probably just differences in multi-meter accuracy (or my eyes aren't so good
)
..Brackets were mailed from the US.
