That's fine, but you won't get much after the 50% donut-tax.

What he said. I replaced the front Battlewing at 6k for an Anakee (1) and the rear for an Anakee 2 at 8.5k.

Chris G,
Did you get the new boots fitted yet?
How much did they sting you and where did you get them, if you don't mind sharing?
Need to replace DeathWings soon - although I have well over 6000 miles on them and I have to say they have been pretty impressive so far!!
(Although I ride like a tranquilised granny with a bad hip and vertigo - just ask SiJohnston....)

I've heard people saying they don't usually bother balancing the wheel, sometimes suggesting 'they barely notice it anyway'. I've never ridden an unbalanced wheel, however in my mind I would want to do the job properly.
Fitting a tyre shouldn't be too difficult so long as you have the correct tools, what you might want to do is compromise on what you do at home, for example you could fit the tyre, but get it balance at your local bike shop.
Well, it all depends of you're mechanical capacity, the tools you own...and the time you are willing to give it.
And yes they must surely be balanced afterwards.
Have a look on Ebay for this seller: imighthavewhaturlooking4
Or call Andrew: 01302 338600, tell him that Greg from the UKGSers board recommended him and he might give you a bit of discount. I ordered my pair at 16:30 on Monday afternoon, they were on my doorstep by 10:00 Tuesday morning.
He's even got 150/70 in stock.
Stunning service, nice bloke...

Greg,
have you tried these tyres yet and how did you find them? Sorry for the questions but im thinking of putting tck's on, but the Heidenaus keep being recommended and might be in the running against the Conti's.
Thanks in advance

i have run several sets of TKC's and now heidi's. Heidi's have done 2500 miles and don't look like they've worn at all, and generally I was getting 3000 miles from the TKC's (in the summer months especially), so deciding that I didn't want to divert as much money at bike rubber, I switched. There's little to separate them in performance, but as the wear indicates, the heidi's are a harder compound and maybe not quite as sticky as the softer TKC's. I think i'll stick with the heidi's now. hope this helps.
