Indeed, thus I treat myself to only the best artisan socks as I can afford them (effectively I pay half price).....and of course because I’m worth it
Shoes are the problem, like the Queen I need to employ a bod to wear them in for me as once they are a year old or so the one on the ‘flesh foot’ is all creased and full of character and the one on the ‘rubber foot’ still looks like new.

Price of the bike isn’t really a consideration as batteries are the same regardless of the bike price generally. It’s just rating that will alter. It’s probably a yuasa which is as good as any. Just a bad one which happens across all marques.
The reason I stated that it was garaged was to remove the possibility of it being excessively cold....

So, “Shoved into the garage” will do or even “I put it into the garage”, as opposed to, “....tucked it into the cozy garage for the night”. It’s a motorbike, a vehicle (all be it one with a suddenly flat battery) not a horse, an awesome steed and certainly not a baby.
Enjoy your bike now it’s got its new battery and try not to boil inside, no matter how great (or little) the provocation.
What a load of old bollox. Of course his bike was fit for purpose...........his bloody battery failed FFS. He called them, they took it away and are replacing it.
It's bad luck and his a bit pissed off but compensation??? Really???

I had a battery fail on a two month old 690 Duke. When I reported it I was told KTM only guarantee batteries on their bikes for three months.

I don't think it is worth replying to this thread but to the OP. There is a rant section on the forum to get it off your chest, if you know where to find it. And you should have done some research on the make of bike you chose to buy - BMW - 2nd only to HD for being unreliable (if only Laverda made bikes it would be 3rd). And last but not least, this is a technical section. Ranting in here about crap is not a technical contribution.
