10168 (0x27B8) Electric Fuel Pump System faulty

My 2010 hexhead has developed a fault recently whereby it cuts out as I roll to a halt with a closed throttle. It feels like fuel starvation but the bike will fire straight up and pull away after a few seconds. My first thought was a blocked breather but it seems fine. A quick search suggested that the secondary coils could be the problem and as mine were looking a bit worse for wear I replaced them. The problem still exists, it doesn't do it all the time but seems worse when the engine is cold.
Connecting to the GS-911 reveals the following. Any ideas about how to nail it down further or should I just replace the pump and controller and cross my fingers as I'm due to take it to Ireland in two weeks.

Advice as given by @Steptoe who is a bit of a guru to say the least

Bypass the controller and if the problem goes away then replace it

If not then replace the pump

If it is still a problem with the pump controller bypassed you could also check the fuel pressure on a 2010 ( Twin cam) it should be 4 Bar / 60 Psi.
Although generally controllers are not intermittent faults they seem to just fail and fuel pump /pressure problems start showing up under full throttle.
Your GS911 report shows 2 mBar at 1920 RPM and 7.8% throttle. I would be interested to know if anyone knows how the GS911 has obtained fuel pressure figures ?.
I thought that there was not a fuel pressure sensor and no way of reporting fuel pressure to the ECU, the pressure regulator is mechanical with no sensor.

Interesting start. The controller was fitted without a gasket and smeared with what looked like vaseline around the edge instead. The hole was half full of water.
