1100 clutch adjustment

Hiya guys.how important ls the 12mm gap.and 7mm play at the lever end.only asking coz with 12mm gap and 7mm play the adjuster at the rear is almost at the end of its adjustment.is this ok.cheers

Just adjust it so you have some play at the clutch lever on the rear of the gearbox and you'll be fine.

Cheers steptoe.so just to clarify.the 12 and 7mm settings are irrelevant.so long has i have play in the rear lever.only asking this has my biting point is right at the end of the clutch lever release.

There's a thread somewhere, perhaps a sticky? I haven't adjusted mine at all, after reading Steptoe's advice and checking the freeplay on the rear lever. As he says, just make sure there is a bit of play down there.

Undoing the adjuster bolt gives you more play ...... doing up the bolt reduces play. Mission accomplished.

Cheers steppers we.re nearly there.so am i right in saying to bring my clutch bite closer i have to reduce the play(turn adjuster in)
