1150gs cuts out!!!

My 1150 gs has been off the road for 9 months, its now got its 5 spoke alloy wheels modified suspension etc. Road was dry so could not resist a spin before its mot. Went really well, then went to nip past a car and it backfired and lost power, it will turn over with spark and fuel, could it be the Hall Effect?

It could have just been a tiny bit of bad fuel or a tiny bit of dirt passing through the injectors? Have you put fresh fuel in and gone for another spin?

Looks like the locating tab for the hall effect rotor has broken so timing has gone out! New one on me.
