1200 TB , first service, questions

Just had my new 1200TB in to A J 's for its first service and I have a couple of questions.
I never had a new 1200GS before, I am pretty happy with this one .
However the service tech found a problem with an inbalance with the throttles.i have done about 800 miles on the bike and thought it was fine but he says they have had a problem on one other (so far)
His words were it was running like a bag of shite
and had to fiddle on quite a while to get the settings right(depends on engine being at correct temperature ! )
The low rev pick updoes seem a lot smother and more responsive on the 100 mile trip home
Anyone else had a similar problem??
Also do the lights on the instrument panel only come on when the light level drops ?
Got to about 1810 and the clocks light up then went out about 5 timestill they stayed on abot 10 minutes later !!

I was just about to leave AJ's when a salesman spotted a nail in my back tyre, great only 800 miles and on my second back tyre .

Not uncommon. New cables do stretch which could have led to the imbalance at first service however some have to be done at PDI if your tech's on his metal

Nothing wrong with your instrument panel lights - all TC models do that.

My 2005 has dash lights that illuminate only when dark - it's not just you posh Twin Cam lot, you know!
