Toe in the water as it’s not quite finished.
I’m waiting for the wheels to come back from “ Kev the wheel”.IMG_8599.jpeg
I bought this as a runner with a death rattle from the timing chain.
The short motor has been fully rebuilt with new main bearings, big ends, crank sprocket and full timing chain set.
The barrels/ pistons are 1000cc with new rings, and stainless push rod tubes.
It has big valve 1000 cc heads with hard unleaded exhaust seats, new guides, valves, springs and collets.
Finished off with new “ peanut” covers.
Anything not replaced ,you can rest assured is in very good order.
The carbs are 40mm bings to complement the heads and barrels ,which will give a 40% uplift in power taking it to @70 hp.

The gearbox ,
Complete rebuild with new bearings, camplate spring kit and roller bearing upgrade.
The output shaft has been modified to take a circlip.
It’s also been fitted with a full set of primary helical gears( kerrrrrching).
5th gear is a high ratio,+5%,to take full advantage of the. Extra power.
It’s also a kick start box,though at this time I don’t have a lever.

Looks a cracker , Mike , as are all your bikes, and I should know having sampled the quality of your work.
Much better value than a new non-descript GS piled with electronic gubbins just waiting to go wrong .

Kind comments,thank you👍
I think this bike is going to great.
The power uplift will make it a joy to ride.
As with all of my bikes,I build them the way I’d build a “keeper,”
