Looking @ the new tent's that just pop up & you pin them down but @ 840 mm dia i think it is to big to go on a bike :( has any one seen a smaller one ) :nenau

Decathlon do various sizes of the pop open type tents. My friend has the smallest one and recently used it for wild camping. He carried it on the back seat of his R80GS and put a roll bag on top of it. Don't think he had any problems with that arrangement.

Decathlon don't do mail order but you can view them on their website, but you'd need to go into a store to purchase.

I have been using Quechua three second "pop up" tents for almost a year now, I camp when working away from home and have subjected them to some serious weather with no problems whatsoever, and many put up/pack away cycles without incident, the larger ones are too large for biking but the smaller ones pack to 0.5 Metre diameter and ought to fit somewhere, google "Quechua seconds" ought to find their website, oh and they are cheaper in France.

Hi-Peak Leisure have a big display on in Hanley Park S.O.T, got the Kyhm range and Vango, plus Terra Nova.
The Biker is £122, Sherpa 4 £40 and Calgury 3 £34, I went for the new Vango Delta 350 £49 as it had better space at the front and head room.

The prices are for display models, but they give you a new bagged one, it's just a sales pitch, well worth a visit :thumb2

And it's on till the 22nd July.
