We're all familiar with the fact that bikes and cars need to be used.

My bike mileage has plummeted over the last couple of years , bikes being put on SORN over winter and kept on battery tenders.

Few months ago I rode to the nearest petrol station and topped up with E5.

The ABS light didn't go out as per usual, filled up, rode off the light went out. Phew.
Got on the bike 3 days ago, rode around the block, all was well. Braked and there wasn't much there:( Then both ABS lights did their thing.:reaper

Stopped and started it several times, no difference, but the brakes both worked, so seemingly no ABS function.
Parked the bike up, went indoors, read up about servoectomy. Later back in the garage, oil coming out of the FD gaitor, bugger. :reaper:reaper:reaper

Next day, I removed the clips, bit of clean oil came out. Cleaned the gaitor, put it back together.

Got the bike out from the garage, optimistically thought I'd go for a spin and hope for whatever reason that the leak by the gaitor would go away:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Off I went, the ABS lights worked. Rode 10 miles, no leak from the gaitor, hopefully I'm not being over optimistic..............

It's an 1150-so no worries- the little leak is just it marking its territory- the 1150 was [probably] the best teutonic biggy ever built- if heavy-- the newer ones are just wannabees :D...:duck:
Hope it all comes together for you (y)

95 miles later, ABS is fine. No oil seeping out of the gaitor.

All I did regarding the ABS, was to remove the sensors, and clean a tiny bit of debris fro the end face. Also sprayed contact cleaner on the relay and its terminals. I can't imagine that would have cured it?

Any thoughts on that anyone.
