2007 BMW R1200 GS. I am the second owner from new, I bought this at a year old and looked after it ever since, 18 years!! I believe it has all the gizmos that were available then plus some extras I have added. The list....First registered March 07, desert yellow/grey (best colour combo, I think anyway) black seats, heated grips, ABS (working well after unsticking the brushes in the motor), brakes bled by me and then checked at local bike garage, ATC (automatic traction control), TPC (tyre pressure control), trip computer, chrome exhaust, Vario panniers (some scratches on the offside one from low speed off in Austria) and top box with soft bags, see photo’s, Adventure screen and winglets, LED rear light, clear indicator lenses, brake pedal extension, swing arm pivot protectors, BMW oil filler cap, BMW alarm, hand guards, front peak extension, BMW head protectors, side stand bigfoot, lower mudguard extension, Wunderlich mirrors, engine protector bars, Rear hugger, handlebar risers, Toutatech tank bag, BMW battery charger and brand new oil filter removal tool. I replaced the BMW front discs (warped) with wavy ones which work very well. its had three recalls, ignition switch, fuel tank and rear hub.
29,475 miles, always garage kept, vast majority dry riding and none in the winter. Its only done approx 1000 miles in the last 6 years having moved house three times and I'm now finding it a bit tall and heavy to manage at 77 years old. I've been all over Europe on it, it has a few minor scratches from a low speed off on a hairpin in the Austrian alps and the fuel gauge does not work, the result of a Spanish fuel pump attendant ramming the nozzle in the tank, I use the trip meter to monitor fuel fill ups, works fine. Its been serviced by me, new oil and filter and its never let me down. Just been MOT'd with an advisory on the front tyre which is a bit low, I've not replaced it as the buyer may have their own preference tyre wise. Full valet late last year, not been anywhere since, looks great. Sad to see it go.
