2008 GS the bling has beglun!

Jon

Most of the bits I've fitted came from my last bike, I seriously considered the gsa but I personally prefer the GS as it's lighter and shorter in seat height, unlike some I'm not trying to turn a GS into a GSA, I prefer it for what it is. :thumb

It might have been lighter before the additions - I reckon the only thing you are missing from the GSA now is the fuel range! :augie

Nope still lighter and as for the fuel range I'm a 40 a day man, I time my stops on nicotine breaks not fuel. :rob

Seriously though I just prefer the GS to the GSA.

Initially I have to admit when I saw it in the flsh at the NEC show I hated it but it grew on me and now I have it in the garage I know I made the right choice! :thumb

Good for you - A man that knows his own mind...........how refreshing! As for 40 a day.......holy hell - how do you find the time now that you can't smoke anywhere without seemingly upsetting sooooo many people?

The trouble with the starter motor cover is, that not many owners or mechanics remove it to keep the connections clean, and you end up with this.

Thanks for the heads-up. I wax-oiled mine today, tho' TBH it was still pretty clean (mostly dry riding would be the reason for that :o ).

Apparently the pictures of my bike with it's dirty bottom bits (ooeerr missus) were giving him sleepless nights so he appeared on my doorstep this morning with his brush and spray on cleaner. Even offered to pay for the water that was used! :aidan

Thanks Davey :thumb

Another day another up-grade......

Finally made a decision on the seating arrangements for the bike, love the shape of the TT one piece seat but having fitted the TT comfort 2 piece seats (again made by Kahedo) I prefer the riding position and the finish with the black side panels and dark grey tops.

Managed to source an Ilmberger Mark 1 hugger thanks to an add on the site, means I can retain the supplied shock cover which is longer on the ESA bike and finally ditch the rear splash guard. :augie

Couple of more things still to do, workng on mounts for the additional lights and bits, all being well will be able to get out on the road in a week or so.

Can't wait, it's only the fettling that's keeping me sane! :aidan

bikes looking good now...

thank god you repainted those rocker covers...:D start on my new one in 3 weeks time... think i`m going to be broke for some time!

ps. your missing a R&G crash protector in that rear shaft..

hi, Im collecting mine (the same color) in 4 weeks time.

Dont take it personally, but by posting your pics, you made me realize that that my bike should not look like a christmas tree.... :augie

Thanks for the lesson! ;)

Pedantic little bugger aren't we. :augie

Let's just say again, it's a work in progress and I'm aiming to get out on it next weekend so will be resting up all next week!

Bugger, just remembered I need a new helmet. :blast
