I have now done 1500 miles on my 2010 GS and the engine seems to get smoother every time I go out.:)

What I am interested in is - does this process continue as I think it may well ?

How many miles have you done on your 2010 ( interesting to hear anyway) and have you noticed any change in the engine over time and miles ?

:beerjug:

Done almost 2,000 in 2 months - not really noticed anychange except perhaps I have 'adapted' my down changes from 3rd to 2nd and 2nd to 1st - to compensate for the reluctant pick up when blipping the throttle ??????????????

Nearly 3K and yes it's getting better all the time. :drool

Done about 4k on mine now and it seems very smooth. I don't have any of the pick up problems that Engineer talks about?? It certainly blips crisply enough.

nice one Giles - let us know how it goes over a long trip. Did you see this in Bike

useful phrases in Italian

'Per favore, dica mia moglie che l'interfono e irreparable '
(pls tell my wife the intercom is irreparable)

:)

On the basis that all the 1200's / oilheads will be similar; my '05 loosened up appreciably by 5,000 and carried on right up to about 15,000 where upon it seemed to settle down.

One of the reasons whey I can never understand peeps chopping in Boxers at low mileages; they never get to experience what a fully run in Boxer runs like.
