2010 fuel consumption

Those figures are appalling...................my (10 yo technology) 1150GSA does 45-55+mpg and my G650 Single does over 75mpg at similar speeds

BMW can get the F800 twins to achieve over 80mpg.................:augie

Same 235 mile trip, wife on her F800R, 66mpg. Considering she weighs a lot less than I (as does her bike) it wasn't that much better than my 1200.
I can get 200mpg with mine if I ride it off a very hich cliff, apparantly.:yelrotflm

More................if you turn the engine off:augie

But the cost of repairs will outweigh the fuel cost savings:blast

Why worry......................it's a leisure thing............fuel up and forget - it's only money

If you want to save money on fuel and achieve better mpg - start a Scrabble league in your neighbourhood for your leisure pursuit - zero emmisions and no fuel costs.................sell the bikes:D

Skrabull no gud as eye kant spel.

It's probably the recent cost of fuel that has fuelled (sic) the current interest in mpg. That said, you're right, just fill up and ride. The enjoyment is still worth the cost. When it no longer feels that way, hang up the keys.:)
